ABPI Forum
07Sep
On Monday 6th September 2011, 17 senior members of the HCA gathered at the ABPI's new headquarters in London to hear Andy Powrie-Smith, Director of ABPI Scotland and UK Director of Trust and Reputation, present the latest information and discuss the ABPI’s work on enhancing the reputation of the industry.
Andy Powrie-SmithThis provided a unique opportunity to hear firsthand the findings of the Reputation Institute research, commissioned by the ABPI earlier in 2011, and to gain an insight into how the ABPI plans to tackle the critical issues identified in that research. Andy’s remit as UK Director of Trust and Reputation is to help build the industry’s role as a trusted partner in the healthcare system, to develop a new “contract” between industry and society based on integrity, honesty, knowledge, appropriate behaviours, transparency and trust. This means finding new ways of working with the NHS and with professional bodies to redefine how industry interacts with health professionals.
